Team Empowered Outcomes.

Drmt teo

Dr. Michelle Teo, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Michelle Teo is grateful to be the mother of three children and to be married to her best friend, Winston. She has studied and trained at McGill University, University of Calgary and University of Alberta before working as a community rheumatologist in Penticton, British Columbia in 2013.

Dr. Teo is exploring an approach to healthcare focused on patient centric care that decreases burn out of healthcare workers. She and her team have worked together over 10 years to understand the potential of team-based care. They now provide mentorship for this approach to improve the lives of both patients and healthcare workers. They believe the future of universal healthcare involves empowering and supporting physician led teams to deliver high quality care.

They want to bring together the collective wisdom of frontline healthcare workers to create solutions that meet the needs of individual patients, patient groups, and communities, transforming the health of our society.
